Remember when the Cleveland Cavaliers completed FOUR trade deadline day deals in LeBron James’ last season with the franchise?
Isaiah Thomas, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Jae Crowder, Iman Shumpert and Channing Frye were all shipped away in epic fashion, sparking mayhem through the NBA world. The Cavs had no choice but to blow up a disappointing roster in no position to compete for a championship. Who can blame them?
The Los Angeles Lakers could look like a completely different team if a trade or two happen on Thursday before the 3:00 PM EST deadline. Anthony Davis joining the purple and gold may soon become a reality.
On Wednesday, several trades went down. Most notably, Harrison Barnes was traded from Dallas to Sacramento in exchange for Zach Randolph and Justin Jackson.
The craziest part of this trade is the Mavericks decided to trade away Barnes in the middle of their home game against Charlotte. The Woj Bomb went down before the trade itself became official, like always.
It looks like poor Harrison Barnes had no idea he was headed to Sacramento to play alongside De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield. When did anybody tell him? How did he even find out?
When LeBron James found out about happened, he delivered his take to his Instagram following, shaming Dallas for putting Barnes in such an uncomfortable position. Anthony Davis even gave the post a like, making us NBA conspirators ask ourselves if a Lakers-Pelicans deal will go down Thursday.

So let me guess this is cool cause they had to do what was best for the franchise right??? Traded this man while he was literally playing in the game and had ZERO idea. I’m not knocking who traded him because it’s a business and you have to do what you feel what’s best but I just want this narrative to start to get REAL/CHANGE and not when a player wants to be traded or leaves a Franchise that he’s a selfish/ungrateful player but when they trade you, release , waive, cut etc etc it’s best for them! I’m ok with both honestly, truly am. Just call a ♠️ a ♠️!!
No sign of remorse from James, but he does have a point. While the NBA is a business, guys like Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania are able to break news before they become official. The NBA Draft is always spoiled by these insiders since they’re able to use their platform to release stories as soon as possible.
Hopefully Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma aren’t dealt tomorrow during some team activity.
